I plan on building two one for me and one for my daughter, I am not sure if I am going with R2 for me, but my daughter will build R7-A7 as she has the most accurate Ahsoka costume for a kid, 13 and some of you may have seen her at CV.  She loves to build things so I will have an assistant.  Ahsoka needs to have her droid, to fend of those clankers! LOL. I have already started on the body and it's parts. Here are some pics of the legs a freind of mine built these as he is a Master woodworker!  His screen name is Woodchuck on several other boards and he has built several blasters all made from wood.

Cool a CW Goldie... Very Happy
Yes, Droid Welder has been a big help to me as well and my challenging part will be the electronics, which I don't have a clue.  So I will have a lot of questions and reading to do on that subject.

Got some screen shots. R7 has been in three episodes, but the best screen shots are in his first apperance.  Looks like the point on the eye is differant than R2, Goldie, etc. More flatter. narrower?

That's going to be a AWESOME DROID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad your going with Clone Wars instead of the easy route.
The colors really give the panels a distinctive look.

I've decided to start on the body and leave the dome for last. Adding the skins.

I've taken advantage of having off this week while my children are out of school for the Holiday. Happy Holidays!
