Complete...but never finished.
I finally made the last details I for some reason kept putting off, the under shoulder details. I wanted to find a way to make them with all the little lines but never found anything that would work so they are smooth wooden dowels and a McDonald's straw  ( I often use whatever is lying around on the workbench). and here he is in all his glory

now on to opening panels, lfs, periscope..... like I said, never finished!

Doing alright, Thanks Calvin.
Business is pretty slow at the shop which means no money but time to work on R2
I did some weathering on R2 and am very pleased with the results

I also made a life form scanner using Keith & Carolyn's car lighter adapter Idea (thank you guys!)  and a screen made out of a auto body patch. the whole thing cost about $12

That looks GREAT!
What was the brand or type of auto body screen did you use?
I'd like to build 1 of those.

I think this is it

hard to remember where I got it, that was probably 8-10 years ago to patch a hole in my 1950 Chevy truck that I no longer have.I do know it was one of the local chains. There is 2 in a pack and each is big enough to make 2 screens, so less than a buck a screen. available online here

although like I said, shouldn't be hard to find locally. A good place for car lighter adapters is Good Will. My local one has a bin of them for about 2-3 bucks each. The one I liked the look of had a straight wire so I got another just for the coiled wire. when I cut the straight wire off of the good one I noticed the two inside wires where red and white. so that's what i used for the white wire.
