Since I am getting going on the dome (Thanks to all for the help at Keith's & Carolyns) I am in need of Logic Displays.

I am asking if there is anyone who needs the PCBs for these displays. I understand that they need to be ordered in sets of three.

I am heading to Skycraft this Saturday afternoon and am going to look up some of the parts for these circuits and probably buy all the LEDs for them.

Let me know or post here if you are interested in getting a set of teh Version 3 boards.

Also, what bezels do I need for the version 3 boards?

I'm reviewing doing this, as the JEDI display component right now is out of my price range, but I'm not going to be in the market to make any displays for a while. Sad

That said, email the guy.  Supposedly because of the number of requests from builders, he's letting folks order singles of the PCB.  Just make sure to get on the v3 run, as he has some of the v2 stuff around right now (unless you don't care about v2 vs v3).

Brian,
Thanks for the update.
Do you have his e-mail address?
Thanks.

You may want to PM Teecees directly on the Astromech boards, the links I see look rather limited so far.

The other option would be to go ahead and buy 3 sets, and then to sell the extras on astromech.  It might take a few weeks to get your money back, but I'd assume the v3 boards will sell to folks that are impatient.

I have been in contact with Teeces and he is in contact with the guy who makes the boards.
I was not familiar with the process of how these boards are made and Teeces will publish his files when he is done testing them.
Until then, we are in a holding pattern for the Version 3 of his PCB. From what I am getting, the difference between the version 2 and version 3 is the spacing on version 3 is closer together and also version 3 will allow for more functions or lights to be controlled by the PCB.
Since I do not need the additional lights I am wondering if I should go with the version 2 or hold out for the version 3.
Decisions.....

Yeah, I'm stuck with some similar decisions right now.  I have the JEDI Control sitting in a box, and I'm trying to decide if I'm going that route if JEDI Display is going to be rough to get (as the last run has been a pretty big mess so far) and expensive or if I re-think my setup.  I know that the Display and the Control aren't required together, but it's just nice to keep things similar to me.

That plus I'm a programmer at heart, so being able to play with the programming sounds pretty slick to me.  Not having the V3 boards out yet gives me time to make more decisions and work on the other parts I've been focused on, too.

I have been doing more reading and decided to go with the version 2 teeces displays as I already have the PSI boards and LEDs for them.
I know the spacing on the version 3 will be slightly closer together and you can do a bit more stuff with the boards (like incorporating the PSIs into the circuits), but I am not planning on having all the animation in this droid so why get some thing I do not really need?
Anyway, that is the latest from here.

Were you able to order just a single set, or did you get 3 full sets?

I *may* be interested in buying one of the extra sets off you to play with, else I already have a set of the bezels to put in front of the LEDs that I do not have a use for (as I'll need V3 bezels).

I found a guy on the astromech forums who had an extra set of version 2 boards he needed to unload. I PMed him and he is selling me his extra set of boards. I am getting a set of bezels to go with these from JoyMonkey.

I am now looking into where to get the Arduino Uno board from to drive the displays.
